Tour Itinerary



Day 1 - Arrival Day
Welcome to Athens After lunch, take a leisurely walk to the sights of Greco-Roman Athens. See the Temple of Zeus, the largest temple in Greece. Stand in awe at the foot of the Acropolis and visit the famous temple of Athena Parthenos, the patron Goddess of Athens. Explore the ancient agora and take in the impressive view of Athens by night.

Day 2 - Athens to Mykonos
Today is our only early morning departure as we cruise for the uninhibited island of Mykonos. Spend the afternoon at the beach or exploring Mykonos Town before experiencing some of the wildest nightlife on the islands.

Day 3 - Mykonos to Santorini
Revitalize with an early morning swim. Wander the charming white washed narrow alleyways of Mykonos Town. This afternoon we head for the truly awesome volcanic island of Santorini.

Day 4 - Santorini
Take an optional boat trip to the world's biggest volcanic crater above sea level. Stand on the active volcano, swim in the warm thermal waters and take a therapeutic mud bath. Ride a donkey, explore the picturesque cliff-hugging town of Oia and top the day with a dramatic Santorini sunset.

Day 5 - Santorini to Ios
Soak up the sun on the black sand beach. Hike, drive or ride to Ancient Thira, Akrotiri, Red Beach, the sandstone cliffs or take in the stunning caldera's panorama. This evening we board the ferry to Ios. Eat, siesta, drink and fiesta on this little party island.

Day 6 - Ios
Roll out of bed midday, head straight for the local beach or take the bus to the beautiful Manganari Bay. Alternatively, take a stroll through the attractive hillside white washed chora. Instead of beaches, take a daily boat trip to Sikinos, a neighboring island virtually untouched by tourism.

Day 7 - Ios to Athens (overnight)
Get into the water sports at Mylopotas beach or if that sounds like hard work, then lounge on the beach or poolside and have drinks delivered straight to your sun-bed. If you appreciate stunning coastal panorama, take a ride to Paleokastro and Psathis Bay. Tonight, we take the overnight ferry back to Athens.*

Day 8 - Athens
Today, we bid farewell to our new friends.

Olympic Period Only (31 July - 18 September) Day 1 - Arrival Day: Welcome to Santorini Welcome to the breathtaking island of Santorini. Check into your hotel, ease into island life and check out the local beach, just a minute's walk from the hotel. Day 2 - Santorini Take an optional boat trip in the world's biggest volcanic crater above sea level. Visit the active volcano, swim in the warm thermal waters and take a therapeutic mud bath, ride a donkey, explore the picturesque cliff-hugging town of Oia and top the day with a dramatic Santorini sunset. Day 7 - Mykonos Optional day trip to the neighboring island of Delos - today, this Mecca of Ancient Greece is an island wide open-air museum. Or spend another lazy day at the beach. Day 8 - Mykonos Today, we bid farewell to our new friends. OPTIONAL - Fly out of Santorini If you would prefer to fly out of Santorini, your tour leader can organize a ferry ticket for approximately 25 Euros (local payment - based on 2003 prices) and accommodation if necessary.

Note: Before 1 June and after 1 September there may not be an overnight ferry. We may need to depart Ios for Athens mid afternoon. In this case, an extra night's hotel accommodation will be provided in Athens.

Tour does not Include:
o Cost of any daily excursions or transport on the islands (excluding hotel transfers).
o Entrance fees to any sites or museums.
o Any flights, visas or personal insurance.
o Meals unless otherwise stated.

Tour Includes:
o Transportation by ferries between the islands.
o Services of an English-speaking experienced tour leader in Greece.
o Transfers between ports and hotels via bus.(transfers between hotel and port in Athens via metro).
o 6 nights hotel accommodation in share basis (1 overnight ferry) - 7 nights during Olympic period.
